Moving to a New Location

Attention: Capoeira Irmandade will be moving as of Oct 20th. Capoeira classes are moving to a new location: 1873 West San Carlos San Jose CA 95128 Kissnessa Dance Studio.
The new place has parking in the back parking lot and the new schedule is as follows:
STARTING OCT 21ST 2013
Mon- Thurs 8-9:30pm (you can leave anytime before if needed)
Sat- 12:30-3:30pm Kids classes and Adults

5th Annual Batizado e Troca de Cordoes

Friends please join us for or 5th annual Batizado e Troca de Cordões
Batizado is a celebration where the new students will be baptized officially into the group and receive their first belt or Cordao, and where the other students depending on their progress will move up to a new cordao / belt.
In many schools, students are baptized by playing with a guest Master or higher level capoeiristas and can be taken down by a rasteira or some form of a takedown, but it is not the focus of the baptism.
WORKSHOPS:
Thursday Aug 8th -7-9pm SAMBA / Afro-Brasilian Workshop $15
Friday Aug 9th Capoeira workshop w/ Mestre Calango 7-10pm $30
BATIZADO INFO:
When: Saturday Aug 10th 1-4pm.
Batizado Entrance : $5.00
Where: Santa Clara Movement Arts 725 Locust Street Santa Clara CA 95050
Food: We will be having food catered. Cost $10 per person

4th Annual Batizado on June 16th 2012

Please join us for our 4th Annual Batizado on June 16th 2012. This year we have a ton of Kids being baptized into our Capoeira family and other students joining our family from afar.
Last year’s Batizado was awesome and we had many guests that came to support and give their Axe to our event.

Friday Open Roda 7:30-9:30pm followed by an open discussion.
